Meet the Artist
At 3D Glass Designs, we are passionate about the art of dichroic glass and the beauty it can create. Founded in 2014 by Cassandra Pendleton in Chicago, our journey began with a deep-rooted love for creativity and craftsmanship. Cassandra's early experiences in a household rich with artistic endeavors—where her mother crafted exquisite clothing, and her father created gorgeous hand-tooled leather purses and wallets as well as beautiful wooden bowls. This instilled a DIY spirit in Cassandra which has become the foundation of our brand.
Initially captivated by various crafts such as sewing, knitting, ceramics and stained glass, Cassandra discovered the transformative potential of glass fusing. This technique, particularly with dichroic glass, allowed for the creation of vibrant cabochons that shimmer with a spectrum of colors. Recognizing the potential for unique jewelry pieces, she pursued metalsmithing to enhance her designs further, ensuring that each creation is not only visually striking but also sophisticated.
